Christopher Erwin Kemerer, 52, of Kingsley, MI died on December 11, 2018 at home. Kristopher was born in Saginaw, MI on December 12, 1965 to Ronald and Marchia (Erwin) Kemerer. Kristopher loved being surrounded by nature: he was an avid gardener, took pleasure in fishing and enjoyed rivers and woods. He was a very accomplished musician and composer with a minor in music from Saginaw Valley State University. Kristopher also enjoyed cooking and learning about different cultures. He believed in the truth and the value of real friends; he always stood up for what he believed in and believed the world could be a better place. Kristopher earned a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from Saginaw Valley State University. Kris was proud to have won a first place High Times Cannabis Cup for his creation of the strain Obamanator. Over the years he received countless medals and awards for his strains CPL. Crema, Great White Buffalo, Michigan Bud, Northern Hash plant and New World Kush.

Kristopher is preceded in death by his adored great danes; Abby and Niles, his grandfather; Clifford Erwin, his grandmother; Barb Erwin and his great grandma and great grandpa Johann. Kristopher leaves behind the love of his life; Rebecca Veenstra, his singing Chihuahuas; Tucker and Mr. Woo, his mother and friend; Tish Kemerer, his father; Ron Kemerer, sister; Heather Gorski, nephew; Joey Gorski and niece; Summer Gorski of St. Cloud, Florida, many aunts and uncles as well as his true friends and everyone who shared his love of life and curious adventurous spirit. He touched countless lives and the world is a much richer place for all the days he walked this earth. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Kristopher, a donation may be made to Coats for Kids, www.operationwarm.org. A Celebration of Life will be held at his home on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 1 pm to 7 pm. We welcome you to join us to honor Kris and bid him a proper farewell.
