The History of Vote Green Initiative Project by Ben Horner
Prelude:
The MMM Report was started in February of 2011 as an information source for medical cannabis users in Michigan. Funded by Michigan Organic Solutions, Flint’s first medical marijuana dispensary, the MMM Report grew quickly as the new industry opened up across the state. Although the MMMA legalized medical marijuana, the legality of dispensaries became an issue of conflict. Although some cities embraced the new marijuana businesses and non-profit compassion clubs, many law enforcement and other government persons claimed that transferring marijuana in a dispensary was still illegal. After covering several pro-medical marijuana rallies in Lansing and interviewing several cannabis activists and elected officials, the idea to create the Vote Green Initiative Project (VGIP) was born.
Hot Summer for Michigan Local Pot Initiatives by Chuck Ream
November 4, 2014 will be a big night in Michigan for Cannabis and Freedom! We will sit and watch the returns come in from so many Michigan cities, big and small, rich and poor, urban and rural, Republican and Democrat. All sorts of voters will show that they are American patriots with both brains and compassion; they understand finally that cannabis prohibition is cruel, ridiculous, and ultimately dangerous. It’s dangerous because pot law enforcement constantly pulls law enforcement resources away from solving or preventing real crimes that have victims.
Free The Weed 41 by John Sinclair

Highest greetings from Amsterdam, still the world capital of the cannabis culture despite all the efforts of the Dutch government to drive the marijuana industry back to the Stone Age, and notwithstanding the incredible gains being made at last in sections of the United States where citizens may finally buy their weed over the counter, without interference by the drug police.

Outside Thoughts - by Adam Brook
“OK, here we go. I waited until the very last minute ( my editor knows that I went past the deadline.... Thanks you Sweet Lips) to turn this column in. I was really twisted up about what I was going to write about. Over the last few weeks I have received multiple phone calls asking me if I had any influence over this person and that person....Being 6ft 4in and 270lbs and a former bouncer, I can influence just about anyone I know, but I don’t think that is what these people meant. The funny thing is that I agree with many of these people on the subject of activists being out of control. I can’t tell you how many time over my 20+ year career as an activist I have heard of people misrepresenting themselves and who they may or may not represent. There are also the people with grand ideas who don’t want to listen to those of us who have done this before and they just want to keep trying to reinvent the wheel......

JULY 29: THE END! THE BEGINNING! by Chuck Ream
It was terrifying to find out that the turn in day for this year’s petitions has been bumped forward to July 29! This is “plenty of time” IF we make a clear plan and implement it every day.
WE CAN DO IT! THIS IS OUR TIME!
WE BE JEDI, THERE IS NO TRY!
